Brandon Howell
Braden Howell, CFP®, RICP® Associate Wealth Advisor Certified Financial Planner™

From his earliest memory, Braden knew he was destined to play for the Dallas Cowboys. He chased his dream to TCU as a walk-on and it was there that he found that God made football players – but he wasn’t one of them.

Following his graduation, Braden stayed in the sports world by working in journalism and media relations, but he soon realized what he wanted most in a career was one where he could have a positive impact on people’s lives – as a wealth advisor.

More than 16 years later, Braden knows he made the right choice. Ever since, he has been dedicated to helping his clients chart a path to the goals in life that are important to them. As a Certified Financial Planner professional, he holds one of the most respected financial planning credentials and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.

As a Retirement Income Certified Professional®, Braden advises retirees and near-retirees as to the best way to use the assets they have accumulated for retirement to live comfortably while maintaining a realistic budget and avoid running out of money prematurely.

He wants his clients to have the freedom to do whatever they are passionate about, confident in knowing their finances are being carefully watched over by him and a team of professionals.

Braden is a naturally optimistic person who inherently believes there’s always a way to accomplish a goal. It may take hard work, creativity and time, but he can always figure out a way to help his clients. He also considers his empathy important, as it enables him to relate to what his clients are experiencing.

Braden is a true team player who assists his colleagues in preparing for meetings, responding to clients’ requests and reviewing investment strategies and financial plans. He holds Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses and his life and health insurance license.

Braden has more than 16 years of experience, 15 of which were spent running his own financial services practice at New York Life. As a sole practitioner for so many years, he was responsible for every aspect of his business and as a result has experience in so many areas.

Braden joined Messick Peacock & Associates in 2022. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Growing up, he attended the prestigious Greenhill School in the Dallas area and is a proud member of Greenhill’s Forever Club.

Braden has served as president and board chair of the Dallas Executives Association, president of the Dallas Agents Advisory Council and a member of the national Agents Advisory Council.

Braden is originally from Dallas and now lives in Plano, Texas, with his wife, Rebecca, and children, Caleb, Landry (yes, after Tom Landry) and Finley.

Braden volunteers at his kids’ elementary school and coached his oldest son’s baseball team for four years. He is active in his church and Sunday school, and previously taught a Crown Financial Ministries course at the church he attended earlier. In his free time, Braden enjoys watching football, being outdoors and on the water fishing and swimming and attending all of his kids’ events – in his words, just living the suburban dad life.
